On Sept. 19, 2017, thirty local students were honored at the 360AWARDS hosted at the Parkview Mirro Center. The 360AWARDS is an annual event directed by the RespectTeam, a local nonprofit that speaks to middle school and high school students about the importance of self-respect and respect of others. This year’s event raised more than $10,000 to continue the efforts of the RespectTeam in local schools. Nominators were asked to pick students who are making a positive difference in their homes, their schools and in our community. Five of the nominated students received a $1,000 scholarship at the event, courtesy of Parkview Health. All of the students received a crystal award, courtesy of Indiana Signworks and a gift courtesy of Stephen Shannon Jewelers.
We had a wonderful time at the Tin Caps Game on April 26, 2016 as the Community Organization of the Game! We handed out hundreds of pens and talked to several people about the purpose of our organization. Because of our amazing sponsors, we were also able to treat a huge group of students from City Life and Gateway Woods to a free ticket! It was a great evening, and we look forward to more collaboration events in the future!
